Originally from California, Miranda came to New York and graduated from School of Visual Arts where she pursued an artistic background through BFA in Illustration. After working as an illustrator and art teacher for both adults and kids, she decided to take a chance to become a certified teacher. Miranda now have an Masters of Arts in Art Education also from School of Visual Arts.
Her passion is in using diverse materials and art references to enhance students' learning. She is dedicated to bringing a flexible and safe environment for my classroom settings. Creating lesson plans that bring out students’ uniqueness and creativity is something she does with deep gratification, as she herself understand how liberating the experience can be.
Miranda believes that inspiration comes from every student and enjoys spending time with them. Her goal is to guide each student with the love and care they deserve.
She is also one of the founder of Kismet Studio Online Art Camp, and teaches visual arts using online platform, Zoom. Understanding that even in situations like this, learning should never stop because life never stops teaching. Miranda would like to take this as an opportunity to adapt to the new normal and she is excited to meet students from all over the world.
